Thoughts Medley Abortion and Inflation 13 Apr 24
by Tony Medley
CBS fired reporter Catherine Herridge and
confiscated her confidential files. Herridge says she doesn’t know why
she was fired but that
“There was tension over the Hunter Biden reporting and the Biden
administration, but I can’t say for sure why I was let go” according to
The Epoch Times. She added that it was “an attack on investigative
journalism,” and that it “crossed a red line.”
This follows a similar action when the brave Sharyl Atkisson quit CBS in
2014 because CBS vetoed some of her stories after objections from the
Obama White House. The bottom line is that you cannot trust anything you
see reported as “news” on the MSM. I don’t know why anybody would watch
the nightly News shows on CBS, NBC, or ABC. What they report is
untrustworthy and what they choose not to report is biased.
Donald Trump’s abortion position that it is a state issue is the correct
position to take. I believe that life begins at conception and, as a
result, that abortion is the taking of a human life, but saying that it
is a state issue and not a federal issue does not in any way promote
abortion. Those pro-lifers who continue to make it an issue are
apparently willing to let the Dimms win the election, which is foolish,
to say the least. They are zealots who do not realize that if we don’t
win this election, it is the end of this country as we know it. Fighting
for a federal ban on abortion is atonal suicide for those of us who love
this country, and the people who oppose Trump’s position are willing to
lose everything in their quixotic quest to make it a federal issue.
Trump’s policy is a brilliant example of realpolitik and it’s about time
we had a GOP politician who understands it.
“Inflation is down” crows the WSJ in its biased, ignorant front-page
article which it refuses to correct. Here’s the truth:
Since Biden (who keeps repeating the lie that he
“inherited runaway inflation” when it was at 1.9% on Inauguration Day)
took office, overall prices have blasted up by 19.4. Here is a list of
increased costs in food alone:
·
Eggs are up 49.3%.
·
Gas is up 47.8%.
·
Peanut butter is up 40.1%.
·
Crackers are up 38.2%.
·
Flour is up 33.5%.
·
Butter/margarine is up 32%.
·
Salad dressing is up 30.6%.
·
Baby food is up 30.5%.
·
Sugar is up 29.1%.
·
Frozen vegetables are up 28.2%.
·
Bakery products are up 26.7%.
·
Soups are up 26.4%.
·
Steaks are up 24.8%.
·
Chicken is up 23.9%.
·
Pet food is up 23.7%.
·
Bread is up 23.7%.
·
Cereal is up 22.5%.
·
Coffee is up 19.6%.
·
Milk is up 15%.
Take that WSJ (and Joe Biden)! You can take your
leftwing front page and news departments and stuff them.
What’s with Speaker Mike Johnson? He voted
against an amendment to
the FISA reauthorization bill requiring the federal government to obtain
a warrant before spying on Americans before they’re even accused of a
crime. The vote was 212-212, so, while some other Republicans
voted against it, his vote killed it. Why? The corruption in FISA, you
will recall, played a big part in the Deep State’s war against Donald
Trump and American democracy, and this amendment was just a small step
to protect American citizens from the Deep State.
