White Chicks (5/10)

Marcus (Marlon Wayans) and Kevin Copeland (Shawn Wayans) are inept FBI agents who impersonate two bitchy white debutantes in The Hamptons in order to investigate a kidnapping ring.

This is sort of Some Like It Hot (1959) meets Mean Girls (2004) introduced by Watermelon Man (1970), but it isn’t as good as any of them, except maybe Watermelon Man. It’s not that it doesn’t have its moments. It does. There are some very funny sequences. And the Wayans become fairly attractive white women. I can’t tell who’s who. But it’s marred first, by toilet humor. I’ve never thought anything that takes place while an actor is sitting on the toilet even the remotest bit entertaining.

Second, and maybe worse, is the low class, gross humor in which it indulges. For me these things outweigh negatively more than the rest of the film is positive.
